Kilowatt hours (kWh) are a standard billing unit for electricity.
You electric vehicle will have a range of 15-30 miles per hour depending on the power of your charger. EV chargers range from 3.6kW to 7.4kW - it really is sensible to have an EV charger installed when you consider that a standard 3-pin plug is only 2.3kW which translates to a range of about 8 miles per charging hour.
It should be noted that not all electric vehicles are capable of being charged at 7.4kW.
